Dragons Den Ireland twitter analysis – Week 1

This evening saw the first episode of the Irish version of Dragons Den on RTE. Like the Irish rugby games against France and Italy I’ve again created a play-by-play analysis of the reaction to the show live as people tweeted on twitter using the hashtag #ddire. People using twitter all used that hash tag to mark their comments and opinions and here’s how each segment of the show came across as a twoud (twitter cloud).
Click on the individual twoud images to see the larger versions.
Before the show
General chatter about the build up to the show in the days leading up
cleancash.com
The Dragons weren’t very keen on this idea and twitter reflected that straight away
Booze Berries
A good product and idea but a nervous pitch
Aqua Images
Something fishy about this one that confused people
Miscellaneous pitches
Cork Life and MumsTown.ie were not a hit
PedigreeCattle.ie
Good pitch by the farmers which drew a lot of cow puns…
“MooSpace”
“Cowzone.ie”
Steaks were raised and the guys came away with the first investment of the series
Post-show
The chat continues..
Stay tuned for the next twoud real soon…

Hi Patrick,
What a great way to represent the conversations that happened about the programme. I was out last night (a rare treat) but I recorded it and my interest is piqued even further now.
Thanks!

I love these! Do you do them yourself or is there a service?

Cheers Michael. I use a combination of tools to put them together. Some are applications I’ve written myself.
Stay tuned for more later on today…

The Irish version of ‘Dragon’s Den’ is cringe worthy. It’s an extremely poor copy of the brilliant UK version. My heart goes out to the poor folk who with the best will in the world ply their wares to this sorry bunch people. When I heard one ‘judge’ say “it reminds me of a bird coming out of the jacks” I knew this show was heading straight down the toilet. It should be flushed away ASAP. Please RTE stop wasting our hard earned money. We can watch the best version of any show on the UK channels. These ridiculous copies only make us look like idiots.
