After the events of today -- inauguration day in the U.S. -- I’ve decided my first post ‘in anger’ is just going to be a sharing of some of the great Barack Obama speeches over the last few years.

I remember this in 2004, the Obama speech at the DNC Convention and people were talking about this great hope that was coming. I think he was just elected to the Senate a few months before. Who would have thought…

In 2007, promises were made…

Then there was the great “Yes We Can” speech…

The election night. Spine tingling stuff!

I guess America, and the rest of us are hoping the words will be turned into action now.
